Autodesk AutoCAD LT 2025
This guide is intended for those with access to Autodesk AutoCAD LT 2025 software. Licensing is done on a per user basis.
Your Town of Plainville and Autodesk accounts are linked. You will use the same Town of Plainville email address and password to access your Autodesk account.
The following instructions will guide you through the first-time setup. These instructions will need to be used any time you open AutoCAD LT on a new computer or with a new computer account.
First-time setup of AutoCAD LT
- Open the AutoCAD LT software (either from the desktop shortcut or shortcut from the start menu)
- If you receive a message about your currently set display scale when opening the software, you will need to adjust your display scale setting. Instructions on how to change this setting can be found at the end of this guide.
- A “Sign in to your Autodesk account” message will appear and will attempt to launch your web browser and direct you to the Autodesk sign-in.
- From the web browser, sign-in using your Town of Plainville email address
-
If you are prompted for a password, you will use the same password you use for your Town of Plainville account (computer login/email).
- Once you have successfully signed in, click the button “Go to product”
- The web browser will attempt to launch AutoCAD LT. Due to security settings, you will need to manually click Open to allow it to do so. You may also tick the checkmark “Always allow accounts.autodesk.com to open links of this type…”
- AutoCAD LT should now launch and the first-time setup is complete.
- Brand new accounts may prompt for privacy settings. It is recommended to uncheck “Help develop new products and services” and “Personalize our offers".
